Obituary: Sri Suresh G Nandyal, who was instrumental in commencing the workshop and supported the workshop in many ways passed away on February, 16th, 2023. We remain indebted to him for his contribution towards Medical Education. He was aged 70 years at the time of passing. Our heartfelt Condolences to the Bereaved family. 

 

 

INAUGURAL BEST (Bedside Echo Scan Training) WORKSHOP

1st International BEST (Bedside Echo Scan Training) workshop was organised by Dr Manikappa Patil Ultrasound Education Group in association with Indian Medical Association. This workshop is endorsed by The Ultrasound Education Group, The University of Melbourne, Australia. Inaugurated on December 16, 2017 at the GIEMA Institute, Gulbarga, Karnataka, India in the presence of the Hon’ble Medical Education Minister, Dr Sharan Prakash Patil,; District Judge, Sri C.R.Benakanalli; HKE Society President Sri Basavaraj Bhimalli; IMA President, Gulbarga Branch, Dr Kiran Deshmukh; KMC observer Dr Doddamani; and  Smt Sulochana M Patil W/O Late Dr Manikappa Patil, Freedom Fighter and Superintendent of Police (rtd), Kalaburagi.                      Dr Arundhati Patil, Consultant Paediatrician, presided over the function.

The 18th & 19th International Basic BEST workshop is scheduled on 8th & 9th, March, 2025 and 15th & 16th, March, 2025 respectively. Registrations are now full. Please note a deposit of Rs 10,000/- will be collected and after completion of workshop, registration fee will be deducted from the deposit and the balance returned if you attend the workshop. However, if you do not attend or partially attend, no refund of deposit will be made. Full refund of deposit will be made if the organisers cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. If a delegate confirms inability to attend the workshop, that slot may be open to others. However, there will be no refund even if the slot is offered to others. Delegate numbers are highly restricted to ensure more than adequate hands on practice. Please consider your circumstances before registering and be considerate to your colleagues. This is to minimise inconvenience to faculty who travel from overseas or from different state. This also ensures that your colleagues are not deprived of the opportunity to attend the workshop. Faculty do not receive any remuneration from organisers or any source in India for their travel & time spent in teaching delegates at the workshop nor are they compensated in the event of cancellation of workshop due to non-attendance of delegates.
